Holy Place

In days never to be forgotten
they went down,
stumbling upon a woodsy place
untouched
and seemingly insignificant, yet
verdant with promise
the tall trees witnesses
of a miracle
Light Divine
distilled as dew
at the waters edge
reflected in eddying
pools of thoughtful praise.
Truth restored.
power from on High to make clean
they stepped forward
immersed in Living Water,
rising forever changed,
the world washed away
restored for a moment to His presence
in gentle, quiet joy.
The trees still cradle truth and testimony,
dews gently distill.
My soul indelibly changed
infused with Living Water
Fed from on High
I go up.

May I never forget, and
always tread quietly on hallowed ground.

Healing Pain

Weighed down by
anguish, suffering,
and the sin of life
Words of love from God
sound far way in
this lonely pain and
hurt
washing over my fear-stained
soul and heart.
this pain of living
can be lonely.

How to find the path
trod millennia ago?
How to reach for
the hand of God?
The embrace to touch
my bleeding heart.

Silent struggles at
midnight bathed
melancholy moonlit hours
waiting for release from
these troubles and cares.

His healing touch I seek.
His weeping tears
to heal and cleanse this hurt -
this ache for home.
To hear those words -
my daughter, thy sins
they are forgiven thee -
to feel that embrace.

Life is hard.

Bitter struggles and weeping
in the night,
this wrestle before the
Lord
to wrest the carnal woman
from this mortal breast.

May I feel His touch
turning weeping midnight
sunlit rays of Heaven.

May my heart be so inclined.

Poisoned Words

The sense of you is
Dying and almost gone -
Abyss of despair
Hate spat in fear
From tortured lips.

Heart strung
Across midnight
Bedecked eternal halls
Shamed and hollow
Eyes peer inward.

Come, suck out this
Bitter water and drink
Deeply to remove
Poisoned words from
My heart.

So that I might live. And remember.

Immortal Longing

Will this longing
for you ever leave
through the fire
of eternities among
heaven's stars?

Will this sense of
oneness remain
when all burns
to ash through
flame?
