Mirrored Friendship

They sat
at midnight
whispering
out life's secrets
in tear-stained
hope and
pains,
joys amid
the words
of dreaming
history.
Sisters two
alike and
different,
saw the other
momentarily
in clearer
likeness
despite the
flaws of
rippled glass.
Light reflects
when likeness
finds,
and magnifies
the good.
